Robert Mondavi is known for producing hand-crafted wines of distinct style. Representing the best of California wine growing regions, including the legendary Napa Valley, each of the wines offers unique qualities and characteristics. For over twenty-five years Mondavi's Woodbridge winery have been making fine wines in the Lodi region, one of California's oldest winemaking areas. It has grown in a quarter century, but still operates like a very small winery in many ways with gentle, hands-on techniques in the vineyards and winery that result in smooth, great tasting wines. This wine is a blend of 77% Syrah, 16% Petite Sirah, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon and 2% Viognier. Dark, rich and velvety, this Shiraz exudes lush blueberry, blackberry and black cherry character. The fruit-driven aromas and flavours have enticing floral and dark chocolate nuances. This shiraz is full-bodied, with good balance and a firm, supple tannic structure showing hints of vanilla from oak barrel ageing that linger on the finish. (12 x 75 cl)

This White Zinfandel needs an early harvest, because the style of this wine requires lower sugar levels and higher acidity than for full-bodied, red Zinfandel wine. 85% of the grapes are selected from the Lodi American Viticultural Area , with the balance from the Central Coast and North Coast AVAs. The Lodi appellation, surrounding Woodbridge Winery, has been known for outstanding Zinfandel grapes since the Gold Rush era. One of the first designated appellations in California, Lodi is nestled between the Sacramento Delta region and the foothills of the Sierra Nevada. The grapes are gently pressed as whole clusters to extract just a hint of color and delicate flavour from the skins. Almost all red grape varieties have clear juice so the intensity of color comes from the length of skin contact. The juice underwent a long, cold fermentation at 45ºF to accentuate the fresh, berry character of the Zinfandel grape. A small amount of the natural grape sugars was retained to give the wine a delicate sweetness and balance the crisp acidity. To add delicate floral accents to the flavor profile, 7% Muscat and 2% other aromatic white varieties were added. Because White Zinfandel is best enjoyed while young and fresh, it is not oak-aged. This White Zinfandel is popular for its pure expression of fresh fruit, accented with spice and floral notes. The Zinfandel grapes naturally high acidity is reflected in the wine's bright, beautifully balanced flavors. Lightly sweet and refreshing, the wine has delicate strawberry, ripe apple and watermelon character, with subtle nuances of flowers and sweet spices showing a nice finish. (6 x 75 cl)
Layers of delicious fruit flavors and a hint of fresh clover and lemon grass intermingle with aromas of citrus, melon and peach. Creaminess from sur lie aging provides depth on the palate followed by a crisp, perfectly balanced finish. (6 x 75 cl)

Enticing notes of sweet dried spices, reminiscent of star anise, add complexity to the fruit-forward flavours, while the fully mature tannins give the wine a velvety, supple texture that is easy to enjoy. Aged in small oak barrels to add subtle oak spices to the aromas it has a long, lingering finish. (12 x 75 cl)
