The Insolia is a textured and aromatic white grape, that makes a refreshing alternative to Chardonnay. The combination of fermentation in higher temperatures , followed by lees ageing and bottle ageing results in wines with softer fruit, and more concentration, than Grillo. (6 x 75 cl)
Planeta has risen spectacularly since inception in 1994, being named Winery of the Year 1999. The Chardonnay grapes are crushed and destemmed; the juice is clarified through settling cold overnight and then inoculated with a selected pure yeast. The fermentation is carried out in French oak barrels, where the wine is kept on his yeast lees for 10 months. This wine is a golden yellow colour with bright greenish hue and a very intense, fruity bouquet of citrus, matured apricot, light balsamic with hints of mint and sage as well as nut tones and orange blossom aftertaste. On the Palate it is dry and elegant with lively acidity well balanced by the alcohol and the wood aromas of the barrels. (6 x 75 cl)
