Huia was established by winemakers Claire and Mike Allan who were drawn to Marlborough by the intense fruit flavours in the wines. This boutique-sized wine estate is committed to the production of premium and classical Marlborough wines (6 x 75 cl)

Rich, toasty aromas are in perfect balance with the concentrated fruit. This wine is aged for three years on the lees, hand riddled and hand disgorged. (6 x 75 cl)

Tasting Note A dry but powerful Gewurztraminer with spicy, rose petal and mango notes on the nose. Full-bodied and rich on the palate with notes of ginger, orange and vanilla balanced by fresh, mouthwatering acidity. 14.5% Producer Profile Clare and Mike Allan’s CV reads like a who’s who of top Kiwi wineries. Both graduates of Adelaide’s Roseworthy College, they set up Huia in 1996. Much of the company’s renown has been built upon their traditional method Brut sparkler although today Huia is just as well known for its mastery of aromatic whites as well as Pinot Noir. Ripe passionfruit and gooseberry aromas, while the palate has a fine balance with passionfruit and ripe lime flavours. Good length. (6 x 75 cl)

This is an exceptional wine with outstanding depth and structure and a velvety rich dark cherry colour. The wine exhibits pretty layers of plum, and black cherry with subtle undertones of cedar and redcurrant. An elegant wine, with delicate fruit concentration held together with ripe tannins with an exceptionally long finish. (12 x 75 cl)
