Groot Constantia Sauvignon Blanc Constantia RSA
The name Constantia is irrevocably linked to the most famous wines to be made in South Africa. Constantia wine was coveted across the globe. Limited volumes were made and it was so expensive that it was exclusively bought and consumed by the aristocracy of the world. Mother Nature smiled when she prepared the Constantia Valley for the winemaker. She bestowed on him the influence of the sun, wind, oceans and fertile soil, and then challenged him to plant vineyards and make excellent wines. To this the owners of Constantia have answered positively for more than three centuries, producing one of the world's most famous sweet blends and today continuing this tradition, creating a range of quality wines. A full bodied wine, showing typical character of Sauvignon Blanc, grown in a cool climate area like Constantia Valley. Distinct ripe fig and gooseberry flavours, with green pepper and grassy tones. An elegant wine with a fresh acidity and a diverse complexity. (6 x 75 cl)

Groot Constantia Cabernet Sauvignon Constantia RSA
A classic wine with rich blackcurrant fruit and hints of vanilla and cinnamon (6 x 75 cl)
|
Groot Constantia Pinotage Constantia RSA
Groot Constantia struggled to emulate the success of the other Constantia wineries, but for the past few years, quality has been on the up. Since 2001, the energetic Boela Gerber has been in charge of the cellars, and his success with this Pinotage augurs well for the future. This is a more robust and forward wine than the Scali, with some of the same berry spice flavours, but more of the classic Pinotage plum and banana edge. If you like fruit, drink it now; if you prefer something mellower, my suggestions is to give it four more years in bottle. (6 x 75 cl)

|
Groot Constantia Shiraz Constantia RSA
