This wine is the fruit of extensive investigations to locate the optimal Terroir in Beaujolais. We reckon that Olivier may well have found it! It offers a remarkable example of how great Gamay fruit can evolve when matured in small barrels. Almost Pinot Noir-like in its black cherry richness, it is generous and full, with potential to develop extra complexity. (12 x 75 cl)
One of the regionÕs genuine superstars with 7 hectares of old vines ideally situated on the finest granite soils. Fermentation in lined concrete vats and maturation in small, 215 litre barrels prior to bottling the following spring. JackyÕs wines are always lush and seductive but have a firm structure and benefit from bottle age. (12 x 75 cl)
This is the flagship wine of Pierre and Marie Chermette who have run the Domaine du Vissoux since 1982 with the simple objective of letting the grapes best express the nature of the terroir through the wine. Located in Saint Verand in the southwestern part of the Beaujolais region the domaine now extends to 29 Hectares. The estate has adopted environmentally sensitive methods of cultivation, aiming to make wine in the purest and most natural way possible. (6 x 75 cl)

While the wines are made in the traditional Beaujolais style, then aged for 6 months in oak barrels. A ruby coloured wine with hints of purple and violet. The highly concentrated aromas of ripe forrest fruits are also evident on the concentrated palate. The structure lends the freshness and finesse needed to make this a great wine and the good acid balance reveals a nice finish. (6 x 75 cl)
