In 1860, at the apex of the shining age of Marsala, Don Diego Rallo founded the wine-producing firm that has conserved and amplified the prestige won on the national and international markets. Today it is owned by the Vesco family.
The heritage of Don Diego Rallo has been taken and enhanced by the Vesco's to meet the oenological challenge that lies ahead. Here, Cantine Rallo, with about 50 hectares of vineyards in the DOC zone of Alcamo, has adopted, where possible, natural methods of growing the vines and extra care taken when the grapes are harvested by hand.
A Fortified wine aged in oak casks for at least 1 year, it is made from the Catarratto, Grillo, Inzolia grapes. This wine is an amber yellow colour with a typically redolent and persistent bouquet. This Marsala has a velvety and full-bodied flavour that is perfect for cooking purposes.
