A deep crimson red in colour. The bouquet has a lifted perfume of ripe cherry fruit tones with earthy, savoury and spice notes of cloves and cinnamon combined with elegant vanillin oak aromas. This Shiraz has a sumptuous satin palate of cherry fruit with dark spice notes. Partial barrel fermentation has added lift and concentration of flavour. The soft silky tannins, typical of Margaret River Shiraz, add palate weight and texture. A fine match with traditional Mediterranean cuisine, roasted meat dishes and hard cheeses.

This Beresford Shiraz comes from the estate in McLaren Vale and is showing earthy aromas and chocolate, leather, black pepper and some spice and coconut from the American oak are evident on the nose. The palate is full-bodied with firm tannins balanced by concentrated berry fruit characters. This is a complex, spicy Shiraz with some lovely vanillin oak flavours and a long, lingering finish. Pale straw with green hues. Rich aroma of ripe nectarine and peach, perfectly counterbalance the creamy toasty oak characters. The wine has richness and weight. Yeasty barrel ferment characters compliment the more pronounced white peach tones, complexed by an appealing cracked wheat note. The wine finishes long with an appealing citrus acidity.

Rich, ripe and intense palate highlighting plum fruit flavours with chocolate notes. Fine grained tannins typical of Margaret River have added weight to the palate. Deep, dark blood red. Plum and raspberry aromas with traces of cigar box.

Evans & Tate Margaret River Chardonnay 2002 A brilliant pale straw with green tinges. The wine has complex and lifted aromas of grapefruit, cinnamon and apple, stone fruits, melon and a hint of custard. Medium bodied in weight, the wine has vivid fresh juicy pineapple and nectarine flavours, complimented by a subtle spicy oak influence and a cleansing acidity. A great match with spit roasted poultry, pan fried veal or pasta with cream based sauces.
