Albert Sounit is based in the village of Rully in Cote Chalonnaise. Maison Albert Sounit is a recent venture as the comapny has set about becoming a negociant concentrating on quality rather than the production of quantity. Grapes are bought from the same wine growers each year to give the wine a consistent style and quality as Albert Sounit aims to produce great wines that reflect the terrior that they came from. A pale golden yellow coloured Chardonnay with aromas of honey and the oak that is evident through out this powerful wine. A lovely Rully 1er Cru with great depth, balancing acidity and full bodied with a long fine finish. (6 x 75 cl)

Vincent is an amazing young man who has transformed the family domaine and is producing exquisite red and white Burgundies from superbly sited old vines (12 x 75 cl)

Bernard Defaix, fourth generation of a family of vine-growers, started in 1959 with 2 hectares. Today the domain stretches over 26 hectares including vineyards in Chablis Premier Cru , Chablis and Petit Chablis. The vineyard of Rully is located in the south of cote de Beaune on clayey-chalky soils. The wine is fermented and aged in oak barrels during 12 months in the old arched cellar, finally, the wine is bottled after a light filtration. The care taken from the vineyard to the winery has produced a golden coloured wine with aromas of peach and apricot on both the nose and palate. This wine is delicate and perfumed with a rich and pleasant finish. (12 x 75 cl)

Now in his early thirties, Vincent Dureuil has firmly established himself as one of the top three growers in Rully, where he is based. He is that rare thing, a winemaker equally at home with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. His whites are mineral and expressive without being lean, whilst his reds are juicy. Following his father's retirement at the end of 2002 Vincent has been able to double the size of his holdings to around 13 hectares. The result is whites whilst crisp and mineral, show a seductive amount of flesh, whilst his Pinots have a ripe, chewy quality, with mouth-watering acid balance, which promises exciting development with age.
