Description:
A rich, full bodied Cabernet Sauvignon made using fruit mostly from the warm Riverland and Murray Darling regions. After harvest the wine is traditionally fermented in stainless steel to extract the maximum colour and fruit from the grapes.
Once in the winery a short period of contact with oak follows to give a subtle light oak dimension on the palate. Full of sweet blackcurrant and cherry fruit flavours this great Cabernet Sauvignon is backed on the finish by ripe tannins.
The Merlot Grapes, sourced exclusively from Riverland and Sunraysia, were harvested at night to ensure retention of the maximum freshness and fruit flavours. Fermented and aged in stainless steel, a portion of the blend was exposed to oak which gives an added dimension of spiciness to marry with the plummy fruit and soft tannins, so typical of the merlot grape.
