Masi MODELLO Rosato delle Venezie
DESCRIPTION OF THE WINE The intense and fresh perfumes and delicate flavours of this Chiaretto di Bardolino derive from the climatic benefits of Lake Garda and from the personality of the ancient Veronese varieties Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara. The Dindarella grape, an ancient indigenous variety, gives this wine its characteristic spicy note. (12 x 75 cl)

Masi MASIANCO Pinot Grigio and Verduzzo delle Venezie IGT
Masi is well-known for its specialization in the production of red wines from the appassimento and double fermentation processes. For the production of Masianco, Verduzzo grapes are ripened further after picking; this unusual process for an elegant white wine makes for more roundness, body and richness, characteristics which complement the fine aromas and the elegant fruity notes of Pinot Grigio. The finely judged blend between the two native grape varieties and the particular winemaking technique contribute to the creation of a modern wine with a strong Venetian personality, a “Supervenetian” wine of unmistakable Masi style, like the well-known Campofiorin red. The two grape varieties are harvested at their optimal ripening time and vinified separately. Pinot Grigio grapes are harvested at the end of August and vinified immediately in order to enhance freshness and aromas. Verduzzo grapes are harvested at the end of September, then further ripened on racks for three weeks. This is a process particularly suitable to this varietal because of its thick skin and it makes for a better concentration of fruit. The Pinot Grigio is fermented at a low temperature and the malolactic fermentation is arrested before completion. The Verduzzo undergoes a short maceration at low temperature before fermentation in barrique where it also completes the malolactic fermentation. The two wines are blended before bottling. Masi GRANDARELLA Amarone Appassimento Veneto
TASTING NOTES AND SERVING SUGGESTIONS The wine’s colour is a deep ruby red. It offers an intense bouquet with notes of aromatic herbs, tobacco, liquorice and spices, along with ripe stewed cherry fruit. In the mouth, it is rich in body and structure, with an inviting roundness on the front palate and flavours of plums and cherries. It is dry and austere, with a long finish marked by attractive hints of bitter cherries. Ideal with red meats or strongly flavoured cheeses, or drunk just on its own after a meal. Serve at 18°C in large glasses. (6 x 75 cl)

Masi MEZZANELLA Recioto Amandorlato Classico Veneto
The term "recioto" probably comes from the dialect word "recia" which means the upper and outer parts of the bunches of grapes. These "recie" are the grapes which are ripest and which enjoy the best exposure to the sun. The word "recia" may be derived from the Latin word "racemus" which means bunch. Our opinion is that the word comes from the Latin "recisus" that means a bunch cutted and let down to dry. Recioto is the standard (6 x 75 cl)
