Chateau de Fieuzal today ranks happily in the top flight of the Graves alongside Haut Brion and Domaine de Chevalier for both red wine and white wine. The property comprises some 48 hectares on gravelly sand soils where the vinesÕ average age is 30 years. The red wine is a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot and the remainder Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. It is vinified in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks in FieuzalÕs state of the art cellar, and then aged for 12 months in 50-60% new oak barrels. (12 x 75 cl)
