Description: The Pallavicini family have been in Lazio since the second half of the 17th Century, and as such their story is linked with that of the region in a range of agricultural activities.

The vineyards are situated in the picturesque hills south of Rome and on the Mediterranean coast next to the Tuscan border. There are currently 78 ha under vine but, due to strong demand from abroad for the wines, expansion is currently taking place.

The sites are meticulously matched to the grape varieties, which is a mix of both traditional and international varietals. Among the principle white varieties can be found: Trebbiano Toscano, Malvasia del Lazio, Malvasia di Candia, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Greco, Grechetto, Bonvino. While, the red cultivars include: Sangiovese, Cesanese, Merlot, Cabernet sauvignon, Montepulciano, Ciliegiolo and Petit Verdot.

Today the traditions of the Pallavicini estate have been merged with the latest oenological practises ensuring the highest standard of wine production. The grapes are handled with great care as the 25 year old Sangiovese vines are managed to deliver reduced yields, undergo a prolonged maceration with the skins; and finally aged in cask.

This care has produced an international styled wine, smooth with pretty berry and floral flavours leading to a velvety mouth feel while the tangy acidity keeps it fresh.
