Bouchard Pere & Fils was founded in 1731 and is one of the most respected Negociants in Burgundy. Acquired by Joseph Henriot in 1995, the last few years have seen some very exciting developments making quite a remarkable renaissance to the highest levels of quality throughout the whole range of wines. Bouchard Pere et Fils domaine is now unique in Burgundy in its range of top quality vineyards. Today, the domaine covers an extensive area in Burgundy and has some 12ha of Grand Crus and 74ha of Premiers Cru vineyards. These vineyard holdings, together with the most up-to-date wine making methods, result in world class wines at all levels. Painstaking attention to detail starts in the vineyards where the grapes are always harvested by hand, carefully sorted, then aged in oak casks producing wines that deliver all the qualities of the great burgundies.
