Description:
Perle Noire Based on a Blanc de Noirs concept, our Perle Noire is a white wine made from red grapes, mainly Pinot Noir which gives a very unique slightly gray-pink color. Visual Aspect: The eye discovers a very nice and unusual silvered color for a sparkling wine, which is the sign for noble grapes. Nose: Complex and fine nose with red fruit aromas. Palate: Discreet Brut with a surprising attack in the mouth. Full-bodied with a persisting finish. Varietal(s): This Blanc de Noirs gathers black grapes containing white juice, giving structure and well equillibrated flavors. Winemaking: Bottle fermented for a minimum of 15 months. Fine and delicate bubbles round the glass as a result of a second fermentation.
Louis Bouillot became involved in the elaboration of Sparkling Burgundy wines according to the 'methode champenoise' in 1877, and has now become the specialist of top quality Cremant de Bourgogne. Today it is owned by Jean-Claude Boisset. Pinot Noir from Yonne area and Gamay from Maconnai are used to make this wine. Once in the winery it is naturally bottle fermented, using Method Traditionnelle, with at least 24 months of fermentation instead of the 9 months recommended by legislation. The result is a light yellow colored wine that evolves to gold yellow during maturation. The mouth is outstanding defined by its powerful structure, brought by the Pinot Noir, and good balance while the finish is both fruity and long. (6 x 75 cl)
A sparkling red wine which is very unusual an yet much overlooked. Aged at least a year in deep cellars under the town of Saumur to attain the highest quality. (6 x 75 cl)
Moigneon was founded in 1895 in Nuits St Georges in the heart of the Cotes de Nuits. Today it is known as La Maison de Cremant having been acquired in 1995 by Mark and Eva Siddle, who also owned Domaine Bertagna in Veogeot.Moingeon produce exclusively Methode Traditionelle sprarkling wines using the most modern techniques.
