Description: The Margaret River Chardonnay from Cullen is a bight and youthful green gold colour, with a complex nose of tropical fruit, nougat, lemon citrus and vanillin oak. The intense fruit characters, so delightfully expressed on the nose, flow through on to the palate where they are beautifully integrated with the subtle oak. There is a silky texture and the finish is refined and long.
Vanya Cullen has adopted biodynamic techniques in the past few years as she feels this gives better flavours in her grapes, flavours that reflect the vineyard characteristics. The fruit was picked at perfect physiological ripeness at Baumés ranging from 12.4 to 13.7º, producing an average of just over 13º Baumé, which is relatively low for an Australian Chardonnay. 70% of the wine was fermented using wild yeasts, which contributes to the subtle mouth feel of this wine. This component was matured for just five months in new French oak to ensure that, while oak still had an influence, it remained in the background. 30% of the wine was prevented from undergoing malolactic fermentation, which facilitates the retention of both freshness and natural acidity; meaning that no acid is required to be added to achieve this wines style.
This is without doubt one of Australia’s finest Chardonnays. The wine will be available sealed under stelvin so that it can be enjoyed free from cork taint and in perfect condition.

Cullen MARGARET RIVER WHITE Margaret River Western Australia
The fruit for this wine is grown on Cullens own vineyards and it is made predominantly from the traditional Bordeaux blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon, and is bottled in a Bordeaux bottle. However, the wine does contain a small amount of Chardonnay and this has added complexity and a touch of richness to the middle palate, without changing the basic structure of the wine. Showing a straw colour with green tinges it has a complex blend of fresh custard apple, lemon and lime aromas. On the palate it is vibrant, rich, round and complex, reflecting the range of varieties in the blend with the Chardonnay providing citric flavours through to the great acid finish. (6 x 75 cl)

This wine is a blend of 63% Semillon, 32% Sauvignon Blanc and 5% Verdelho. All of the grapes for this wine were hand harvested and sorted before crushing. Fermentation was carried out in stainless steel tanks at cool temperatures to retain fruit freshness. This wine was bottled under Stelvin (12 x 75 cl)
Cullen MANGAN Margaret River Western Australia
Mangan is a blend of Malbec, Merlot and Petit Verdot. The wine is intense deep red in colour, with an opulent perfume of blackberries, nutmeg, aniseed and violets. On the palate, the wine is both rich and fresh, with mulberry and blackberry flavours balanced by the soft, ripe tannins. Malbec, Petit Verdot and Merlot are three varieties that are particularly well suited to growing in the Margaret River winegrowing region. When blended together these varieties form a divine trinity creating a unique wine. The Malbec provides the fruit power and colour, the Petit Verdot the length and texture and the Merlot the structure. The fruit which made this wine came from a single vineyard in the Wilyabrup subregion of Margaret River. (12 x 75 cl)
Cullen MANGAN VINEYARD Semillon/Sauvignon Margaret River Western Australia
This wine represents a blend dominated by Semillon and a little Sauvignon Blanc, of which 32% was matured for three months in new oak while the wine was fermented using indigenous yeasts. The result is a light honey coloured wine with green tints. The bouquet is deep, complex and savoury, with delightful combination of lemon and lemon rind aromas and a touch of gunflint. The palate is showing delicious rich lemon with sherbet flavours filling out the middle palate. A great and long acid finish completes a very satisfying and moorish wine. (6 x 75 cl)
Eagle Vale Merlot Margaret River Western Australia
Description Brilliant raspberry colour. Soft, velvety texture achieved by gentle and carefully chosen use of new French oak. Cassis, truffles, red berries and floral overtones. A wine to enjoy now. But persistence of flavour will reward with more complexity after bottle aging. Perfect to munch with mild cheese, duck pasta or simply on its own. Winemaking Pressing: Whole bunch pressed. Method: The wine is racked into a closed tank, where it undergoes fermentation. A short maceration on the skins assures softness and allows the natural fruit characters to come through. It is then matured for eight months in oak and undergoes Malolactic fermentation. After: A minimal filtration is done to maintain maximum complexity and flavour. A screw cap closure was used for all the wine during bottling. (12 x 75 cl)
Eagle Vale Shiraz Margaret River Western Australia
Description A rich red plum and ruby hue. A refined wine with a touch of white pepper, floral lift, wild black cherries and velvety tannin. A full flavoured, yet elegant style reflecting the winemaker's philosophy and the southern Margaret River terroir typicity. Winemaking Pressing: Gentle whole bunch pressed. Method: The must is cool fermented in closed tank with daily remontage. No sulphur is added prior to fermentation. After malolactic fermentation in tank the wine is matured in new French oak for 18 months. After: Regular racking and minimal filtration is done to maintain the original flavours. (12 x 75 cl)
Eagle Vale Semillon Sauvignon Blanc Margaret River Western Australia
Description A refreshing, clean classical Margaret river stye, with crisp zesty citrus and plenty of complex rich fruit. Well balanced and persistent on the finish. This wine is great on its own for aperitif or with light dishes such as seafood and salads. Winemaking Method: Each variety is fermented separately. The grapes are whole bunch pressed. Then the must is racked and the temperature is brought to 16ºC for a slow, stainless steel tank fermentation to retain maximum flavours. After: The wines are left to settle and cold stabilised and then blended together prior to being earth filtered and bottled. Varieties: 77% Semillon, 23% Sauvignon Blanc (12 x 75 cl)
