The aim every year is to select the finest quality to obtain the best results in the Lérane blends. Grapes are harvested at optimum ripeness, before the acidity starts to wane, and upon reception the grapes are gently crushed and then the must is left overnight to settle in a refrigerated steel tank. Fermentation is temperature controlled and the wine sees no oak while the final blend of 50% Terret and 50% Viognier is then filtered and fined before bottling. The wine is a straw yellow colour with an enticingly aromatic nose reminiscent of peach blossom, ripe apples and white stone fruit. The palate is round and juicy offering a delightful concentration of peach and pear fruit and some hints of tropical lychees, all bound up with a crisp citrus acidity that keeps the wine refreshingly clean.
