Winemaker's Comments : Intense ruby red color. In nose, a fruity wine with aromas of black fruit, plums and herbs, pleasantly combined with undertones of vanilla, cloves and spices from the barrel in which it was matured. In mouth, a medium body wine, that is expressive, complex, well balanced and persistent. (12 x 75 cl)
Winemaker's Comments : Brilliant yellow-green colour, of medium intensity. Intense citric aroma with butter and vanilla notes. To the palate it is a fresh, tasty and nicely persistent wine
Winemaker's comments: Brilliant pale green colored wine. Intense varietal character, combining tropical fruit along the line of grapefruit, gooseberries capsicum and currant yolk. (6 x 75 cl)
One of the first and largest wineries in Chile, Santa Rita was founded in 1880 by Don Domingo Fernandez and is now headed by Ricardo Claro Valdez. With a history stretching back over a hundred years, Santa Rita's combination of tradition and innovation, with a focus on terroir makes this prestigious estate one of Chile's best. The grapes come mainly from vineyards in the foothills of the Andes Mountains and due to the climate and terrior the Sauvignon Blanc variety takes longer to ripen, allowing the development of all its characters and concentration. This pale yellow coloured wine is showing fresh, bright citrus and pear fruit flavours followed by smoke and a touch of herb that makes this a lively and flavourful wine. (12 x 75 cl)
Santa Rita MEDALLA REAL Sauvignon Blanc Casablanca Valley Chile from Chile, Aconcagua, Casablanca Valley by Santa Rita SA Las Conde Santiago (12 x 75 cl)
Winemaker's Comments : Brilliant yellow-green coloured wine. Intense varietal aroma with predominantly tropical fruits like grapefruit and pineapple, rounded with soft hints of vanilla and hazelnut. A wine of great volume and pleasant acidity. Ageing in American oak has given it a complex structure, sweetness and persistence (12 x 75 cl)
Winemaker's Comments : All vineyards are planted in vertical shoot position in order to obtain good sunlight exposure and airing. The crop is restricted to 7-8 ton/ha so as to get concentrated grapes. During the season, irrigation becomes a critical factor for this variety since it is very sensitive to water stress. The idea is to reduce water availability down to pea size to produce medium size berries and vigor control, then allowing the roots to feed the plant with enough water for good ripening, without any excess, while keeping a small growth of leaves at the tip of the shoots. (12 x 75 cl)
Winemaker's Comments : Intense ruby red colored wine. Intense red fruit and spice aromas. In mouth, a round, lingering, balanced wine, where the red fruits and spices portray its character. Round and very pleasant tannins (12 x 75 cl)
