Giacomo Borgogno Barolo Riserva DOCG
Bartolomeo Borgogno founded his winery in 1761; upon his death in 1794 his three sons took over control of the business, though only one, the youngest, Giacomo, persevered. This red comes from Nebbiolo grown in a limited area including eleven country villages around Barolo. With age this wine turns a garnet red with more and more evident orange reflections. The perfume and bouquet is ethereal, persisting, of an intense 'goudron' while the flavour is dry, harmonic, velvety showing a robust and generous body. (6 x 75 cl)

Costa di Bussia Barolo Riserva DOCG
In the vintages which are held to be of particularly high quality, part of our winery's overall yield of Barolo is selected in the vineyard and allocated to the production of BAROLO RISERVA. made from choice Nebbiolo grapes, the fermentation of the must in lenghty contact with the skins result in a wine which will be aged in wood for at least three years prior to further maturing in the bottle. The Casks used for ageing hold from 25 to 60 hl. each, and it is here that the wine develops its bouquet, bringing out to the full all the featurea which make it stand out. This is the characteristic thatis most appreciated in Barolo Riserva:its typical style derived from the traditional wine-making and ageing methods used. the wine matures in the bottle for at least one year in cellars dug out of the tufa, where there are no sudden changes in the temperatus and it is well-protected from the light and noise while awaiting its turn to be released onto the market, no earlier then five years following the vintage. Barolo Riserva's special properties cater perfectly for lengthy keeping. (6 x 75 cl)
Giacomo Borgogno LISTE Barolo DOCG
Bartolomeo Borgogno founded his winery in 1761; upon his death in 1794 his three sons took over control of the business, though only one, the youngest, Giacomo, persevered. This Barolo is made from the Nebbiolo grape while the vineyard is located in the "Liste" area, and was probably the first owned by Borgogno. The grapes are the last to be harvested, thanks to a constant exposure to the sun and to the exceptional climate. Additionally, the label is very old and it goes back to the second half of the past Century and the bottle is carries the heraldic symbol of the farm. This deep red coloured wine is balanced with the potential for long ageing (6 x 75 cl)
Giacomo Ascheri SORANO Barolo Piemonte
The Giacomo Ascheri Cellars originated in La Morra: in that area, where a place called ''Ascheri'' still exists, in the early 19th century the first vines were planted and the first wines produced. In 1880 the winery was moved from La Morra to Bra, where it is still situated today. In a world where wines are generally produced with the same grapes, the same technology, the same wood for ageing and above all the same consultants, Ascheri's aim is to obtain a wine which is the expression of the vineyard it comes from, the grapes it was made of, and above all Giacomo Ascheri own ideas. In order to achieve this, Giacomo Ascheri have chosen a natural approach, with a moderate use of technology, without changing the nature of the wine with special procedures. They have attached new importance to old oak barrel ageing making choices entirely by ourselves. 100% Nebbiolo wine from the Sorano Estate in Serralunga d'Alba. The vineyard has South/South West facing slopes and an altitude which ranges from 280 to 350m above sea level, the vineyards in the Sorano Estate are planted with Nebbiolo and Dolcetto vines, taht produce wines which are outstanding for richness and tipicity. Harvested by hand in early and mid October the wine is aged 6 months in stainless steel tanks, 28 months in Slavonian oak, 85% old, 15% new and a further 10 months in the bottle. Garnet red colour with an ethereal bouquet, intense tar with a scent of dry flowers and a mineral note. A rich palate, balance and mature tannins contribute to the wines harmony, distinction and intensity. A remarkably classy, austere wine, with exceptional richness and tipicity with a great finish.
