Today, Alvarez y Diez are amongst the leading lights of the region, producing textbook examples of modern, crisp, herbaceous verdejo and varietally pure sauvignon blanc as well as superb value viura verdejo blends. This Sauvignon Blanc is showing great varietal character - crisp, herbaceous, touches of blackcurrant leaf, guava and grapefruit are all backed up by racy acidity leading to a tongue tinglingly taught finish.
