The grapes for this Chardonnay are sourced from the northern end of the Rully appellation in the vineyards of Saint-Jacques. The wine is aged in oak for about 12 months allowing the wine to develop a complex character with plenty of smooth oak flavours. A pale yellow coloured wine with white flower aromas are a prelude to a well balanced palate with a long finish. (6 x 75 cl)

Albert Bichot was founded in 1831-it is still actively managed by the Bichot family. They are both growers and negodants, paying equal attention to the negociant wines as they do to their own; however, it is the company's domaines in which we have greatest interest. Over the years Bichot has carefully cherry-picked and purchased domaines and properties in Burgundy which have either an existing reputation or at least the potential for greatness. Once purchased, each domaine is put under the control of a grower/winemaker who enjoys a large degree of autonomy from the parent company. The result is a selection of outstanding domaine wines of great integrity, superb character and, most importantly, a true ‘gout de terroir' (12 x 75 cl)

This vineyard is owned exclusively by Bichot . It is approximately 2 hectares in size of which two thirds is Premier Cru and one third Grand Cru. The divide initially seems to be arbitrary 15 with just three feet dividing Grand Cru from Premie (12 x 75 cl)
