A blend of Syrah with Mourvedre and a small percentage of Grenache. A rich and ample wine with good structure and balance and subtle, well-integrated tannins. Red berries predominate on the nose and the wine finishes with a pleasant note of liquorice. (6 x 75 cl)
This red is 60% Syrah, 35% Grenache and 5% Mourvedre from red argilo-calcaire soils; the grapes are destemmed and, after a three week cuvaison, the wine spends 15 months in vat. A well-known estate taken over by Jean-Benoit Cavalier in 1984 which seems to be on the right tracks again after a few years in the doldrums. The vineyards are situated in the communes of Vacquieres and Corconne north east of the Pic Saint Loup. (6 x 75 cl)
A blend of Grenache with Syrah, Mourvedre and Carignan. An intense nose with complex aromas of ripe fruit, pepper, liquorice and game. Its well-structured tannins are balanced by elegant, subtle oak. Undeniable charm with good ageing potential. (6 x 75 cl)
