Chateau Lanessan is owned by the Bouteiller family, descendants of the Delbos family who originally owned the vineyard, and do their utmost to combine modernity and tradition in developing their wines. This red is a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot as well as a little 5,0% Cabernet Francs and 5,0% Petit Verdot. Once in the winery great care is taken in producing this wine that finally spends 16 to 18 months in French oak barrels with clear racking every 3 months. A clear ruby colour it is showing an earth and tobacco bouquet. On the palate the ageing has left its mark on this velvety wine that has ripe berry flavours that dominate through to the long finish of this well made wine. (12 x 75 cl)
