Conte Placido is a member of the Banfi stable of wines and owe their phenomenal popularity to choice grapes grown in some of the world's premier wine regions. The brand inherited its name from a famous Sienese family, the Placidi, on whose vast estate some of the Placido vines grow today. The land was awarded to the family back in the Middle Ages and remained in the possession of its descendants until modern times. A delicious up front Sicilian smile of a bouquet with bags of character is followed up by a similarly full flavoured taste in the mouth.
