Description:
Based in the Limari Valley, Casa Tamaya is located in Cerrillos de Tamaya in Chile's IV Region, and has recently been recognized for its extraordinary potential for producing fine wines, due to its ideal climate and soils.
Vina Casa Tamaya is set in 210 hectares of which 108 of are planted to vines. The vineyards were established in 1997 and its primary white grape varieties are Chardonnay, Viognier, and Sauvignon Blanc and the red grapes Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Carmenere, Syrah and Sangiovese.
Delicate green touches dance against a smooth yellow coloured backdrop, set the scene for the fresh, lively aromas of pineapple, banana and grapefruit. On the palate, the tropical fruit flavours persist, with a distinct and unique note of 'cherimoya' standing out. Well balanced and clean, this wine has a beautiful fresh acidity that gives it plenty of personality and elegance.
