Complex oak characters of spice and vanilla support ripe Shiraz fruit, evident with intense blackcurrant, leather and prunes. The palate is a complex McLaren Vale Shiraz style with fruit characters ranging from plum, liquorice and blackcurrant to earthy, leathery, spice and black pepper. Vanillin, smoky oak complements and lifts the palate. Outstanding length of flavour is supported by structure suggesting ten years in the bottle will only improve the wine.
