The Tasca d'Almerita family have owned this estate since 1837 and it is best-known for its fine wines. Although history and tradition are important it is also a forward looking vineyard that has benefitted from the introduction of international grape varieties being planted in the 1970's, the use of clones in the 1980's while in the 1990's lakes were dug to help release pressure on the vines. All of this has developed better grapes that is the starting place for great wines. This is an intense red coloured wine with a fruity bouquet showing hints of spice. A well balanced wine it is rich with soft tannins and an enjoyable finish. (6 x 75 cl)

COLOUR Ruby red of good intensity. BOUQUET Mulberry, blackberry, raspberry, cherry, marasca, vanilla and tobacco. TASTE Fruity, fragrant with balanced acidity. AFTER TASTE Tannin soft and sweet. (6 x 75 cl)
