The Falasco Garganega is sourced from selected vineyards throughout the Valpantena region north of Verona. The Garganega grapes get extra concentration and ripeness from a late, hand-picked harvest. Half of the wine is stored in stainless steel tanks on lees and the other half is aged in wood to add greater depth and complexity. This late harvest wine is rich and creamy, with a refreshing citrus flavour and a mineral yet soft, complex texture.

This prestigious wine is obtained by an ancient tecnique known in the Veronese area as 'Ripasso'. This tecnique consists of giving more body and character to Valpolicella wine by running it over the residue of the dried grapes used in the production of Amarone Falasco. This procedure and subsequent refining by means of storage for at least one year in small casks made from French oak, reinforce the structure, colour, and flavour of Valpolicella without altering its freshness. This wine is a blend of Corvina Veronese 70% and Rondinella 30% traditionally drunk with game, grilled meats, stews and well matured cheeses. (12 x 75 cl)
