The 50 hectare estate has been transformed over the last decade and is now composed of mainly Sangiovese and an increasing amount of Merlot. Made by Alberto Antonini it reflect his style of deep coloured wines showing a ripe plummy nose and a full fleshy palate with supple tannins and great balance. (12 x 75 cl)
The Blend, a mini Super Tuscan, is a blend of 40% Sangiovese, 30% Merlot and 30% Syrah, all vinified separately and then blended together. The colour and soft tannins come from ripe grapes being given a cold soak prior to fermentation as well as from the oak treatment the wines undergo. The winemaker is looking for complexity from the Sangiovese, a juiciness from the Syrah and softness and roundness from the Merlot. (12 x 75 cl)
