Villard EXPRESION Chardonnay Casablanca Valley Chile
AROMA: Complex nose and structure derived from the combination of fruit, barrel fermentation and ageing in French oak. Displays soft tropical fruit and vanilla aromas and flavours. TASTE: Big, full-bodied, mouth filling wine with a long finish. Excellent drinking now, it will continue to develop and gain complexity with further bottle ageing. VINIFICATION: Fermentation was initiated in a temperature controlled stainless steel tank at 15ºC. 50% of the juice was then transferred to French oak hogsheads, where fermentation lasted 15 days. STORAGE: 50% of the wine was kept in French oak barrels for 9 months with regular "batonage". The other 50% was kept in stainless steel tanks. It was then assembled and stored in stainless steel tanks prior to bottling. (12 x 75 cl)

Villard EXPRESION Sauvignon Blanc Casablanca Valley Chile
AROMA: Very complex and covers a wide range of aromas: citrus, floral , fruits such as apricot and white peach and tropical fruit such as fresh passion fruit. TASTE: Tropical fruit and citrus. Excellent structure, refreshing acidity, with a long, crisp finish. VINIFICATION: Part of the grapes were pressed as whole clusters and the juice was fermented in stainless steel tanks at low temperature for 30 days. The rest of the grapes were crushed and the juice was then cold controlled fermented in stainless steel tanks for 18 days at 12 to 15ºC. The resulting wine was left for two days on lees prior to being decanted. The two lots were then blended and left on fine lees for two and a half months, being periodically pushed into suspension with inert gas to give more volume to the wine. It was then decanted, cold stabilised and filtered before bottling. (12 x 75 cl)

Villard EXPRESION Pinot Noir Casablanca Valley Chile
COLOUR: Beautiful bright strawberry red. AROMA: Fresh berries such as strawberries and raspberries. TASTE: Good complexity between fruit and a touch of oak, finishing with extremely good length VINIFICATION: 5 days maceration at 8ºC prior to fermentation with 'pigeage', which lasted 6 days. STORAGE: 22% of wine stored in French barrels for 12 months, then assembled with the remaining 78% in October (12 x 75 cl)

Villard EL NOBLE Botrytis Sauvignon Blanc Casablanca Valley Chile
AROMA: Pear, white peach, dried apricot and almond aromas, with notes of citrus and honey. TASTE: Displays pear and dried apricot flavours. This exquisite wine is rich and complex, with a good balance between sugar and acidity and a long, dry finish. VINIFICATION: The grapes for this wine were produced from the same vineyard as the Expresión Sauvignon Blanc. The bunches were left on vines for four weeks after the normal harvest allowing them to naturally develop botrytis and concentrate sugars. The grapes were pressed for seven and half hours and the juice was fermented in 300 litre French oak barrels. The wine was then aged in the same barrels for 28 months. (12 x 37.5 cl)

Veramonte Merlot Reserva Casablanca Valley Chile
A native Chilean, Agustin Huneeus joined Napa Valley based Franciscan Estates in 1985 as President and CEO, bringing with him international wine experience from Chile and the United States. In 1990, after discovering promising potential vineyard property in the Casablanca Valley, Agustin Huneeus realized his dream of returning to Chile to found Veramonte. Veramonte's Casablanca Valley is surrounded by coastal mountain ranges creating a diversity of unique microclimates and terroirs. While the close proximity to the Pacific Ocean provides ideal growing and ripening conditions. A rich and spicy Merlot with some exotic touches of eucalyptus and tobacco on the palate. The six months in French and American oak barriques gives a lovely toasty edge to the typically smooth, rounded finish. (6 x 75 cl)
