Established in 1975 by David and Christine Fyffe, the Yarra Burn winery is situated near the small rural town of Yarra Junction, just sixty kilometres north of Melbourne. Nestled below the impressive Mount Donnabuang in the Warburton Ranges, Yarra Burn benefits from the cool breezes that sweep over the mountain peaks, and the soothing afternoon sun which gently warms the valley. The Bastard Hill wines are truly characteristic of the 'terrior' from which they are produced and reflective of individual vintage peculiarities, while they are enhanced by the myriad of aromas and flavours, which they posses. This wine has a unique array of aromas intricately woven together in the bouquet, creating unrivaled complexity. Black cherry, dark plum and beetroot characteristics are integrated with spicy cinnamon, clove and nutmeg qualities.
