Description: Branaire-Ducru's vineyards are planted with Cabernet Sauvignon 70%, Merlot 22%, Cabernet Franc 5%, Petit Verdot 3%. The wine blend has even more Cabernet Sauvignon, up to 85%, is incorporated reflecting one of the highest Sauvignon blends in the Medoc. The wines are matured in oak barriques 35% new each vintage. This is a deep red/purple-colored stylish sexy concotion of raspberries, graphite, smpke, minerals and flowers. The complex aromatics are followed by a medium to full-bodied, seamless St.Julien displaying velvety tannin, medium body and sweet concentrated fruit in a well-constructed elegant style. The tannin is unobstrusive and well-integrated. Available in the original wooden case.

Branaire-Ducru's vineyards are planted with Cabernet Sauvignon 70%, Merlot 22%, Cabernet Franc 5%, Petit Verdot 3%. Deep garnet-red colour. Bouquet reminiscent of flowers, berries, redcurrant and spice. Undoubtedly one of the most successful wines produced by the present winemaking team. The 1996 Branaire is rich, round, lush, tannic and very Cabernet, yet without any astringency. Delicate but substantial. Available in the original wooden case.
