Description: Produced only from Merlot grapes grown in the Central Valley. Aromas of fresh berries followed by very pleasant fruity flavours. Finesse and balance on the palate finishing in a velvety, smooth texture. This uniquely packaged wine is popularly known as ÒEnsacado - The Sack Wine" and was originally created by Franciscan monks who built the town of San Francisco de Mostazal in return for wine from Vino de Eyzaguirre. The monks would wrap the bottles in burlap sacks to protect the wine during the journey by horse drawn cart from the winery to the monastery. This was later adopted by the winery and has remained in place ever since.

Torreon de Paredes Merlot Chile
Only a careful selection of the best grapes from mature vines goes into this wine. Matured in new French oak barrels for 12 months. Deep ruby-red colour with violet hints. Refined bouquet with hints of morello cherry, mulberry and blackcurrant. The rich palate elegantly balances fruit and oak with fine notes of spice, smoke and vanilla. Available in half bottles.
