Description:
The Wine: bright straw yellow; fragrant and persistent bouquet with specific notes of flowers (cherries and peaches), recalls of musk and apple; dry taste, fresh and well balanced with a fruity long and pleasant aftertaste of ripe fruits and sweet almonds. Vinification: the grapes are picked at the end of September when the degree of ripeness is perfect. 50% of the grapes is vinified - in white - while the rest undergoes a skin contact process lasting 10-12 hours at 7-8ºC. Fermentation takes place, after cold decanting, at controlled temperature with selected yeasts. The new wine is then refined in stainless steel till March. Area: Sona and Castelnuovo Veronese Vine: Trebbiano toscano, Garganega, Bianca Fernanda (also called cortese ), Tocai, Riesling and Pinot bianco Grapes. The Vineyard: selected vines situated in the sunny hills of Sona and Castelnuovo Veronese, at an average altitude of 100 m. with south-west exposure. The training system are ''cortina pendente'' (modified trellis) and trellis, on a glacial-morainic soil, clay, limestone mixed with pebbles. The yield of grapes is 120 quintals/ha.
