Classic blackcurrant fruit, with a layer of nutty oak. The palate is round, with a seductive texture. But there is a hint of cream, and elegance, and good tannic structure. The vineyards of Chateau Kirwan lie on the Cantenac plateau, with near neighbours Prieure-Lichine and Desmirail. The soils here are sandy, and dominated by gravel topsoil. (6 x 75 cl)
