Aged 12 month in new oak barrel this is a light yellow colour, with a lustrous hue, that exudes warmth and tickles the eye. The wine's bouquet releases aromas of white flowers, acacia and ripened yellow fruits. This well-bodied, smooth white Saint Romain boasts nice balance, a lingering finish and refined elegance. Since Etienne de Montille took over Chateau de Puligny-Montrachet as director in 2001 this sleeping giant has been re-awoken. Previously this fine estate over-cropped and over-oaked to produce 'in your face' wines with little or no terroir definition. Etienne has changed all that. He has carried out extensive work in the vineyards (12 x 75 cl)

Domaine Pascal Prunier-Bonheur is run by husband and wife team Pascal and Christine. They own just 6 hectares between them, however, despite being based in the village of Meursault, they do not yet own any of these precious soils themselves. Pascal's brother, on the other hand, owns a nice plot in the well placed 'les Clous Dessous' which Pascal farms, harvests and vinifies. From his vineyard Pascal produces very stylish wines, showing good depth, complexity, and mineral 'fraicheur'. His style on reds is pure, elegant and fruit-driven with good volume and beautifully rounded tannins. (12 x 75 cl)
