Organic. The Grechetto grape is usually blended with other grapes, but is increasingly being bottled as a single varietal. Good floral aromas abound, and the palate has a soft, intense texture of citrus and tropical fruits. Delightful weight and balance. (12 x 75 cl)

A 100% Fiano wine that undergoes fermentation in stainless steel vats with temperature control, maturation in steel tanks for 6-8 months, followed by Fining in the bottle for a further 6 months. A Straw yellow coloured wine with a nose of fresh, elegant, fruit, nuts and white flowers. Rich, quite soft, fresh, medium/full-bodied wine with a tasty, very long gustative persistence. During the Renascence many wines were known as 'Greco, Grecante or Grechetto'. Montefalco's Grecante was one of the most appreciated, indeed the head of the Municipality of Montefalco used to send it as a precious gift to princes and important clergymen. Today, Arnaldo Caparai's Grecante keeps this long tradition alive, although the company was only established in 1971. Starting from only a few hectares of vineyards and believing strongly in the potential of the territory and the local varieties Arnaldo Caprai, a successful textile businessman, bought the Val di Maggio estate to fulfil his dream of producing his own wine. He started off with only five hectares, but as time went by he believed more and more in the great potential of the local variety Sagrantino and bought more of the surrounding land. Great care is taken in producing this wine from the hand picked harvest that is collected in small containers and gently pressed in order to obtain only the fresh musts. To the fermentation at low temperatures, thus enhancing the perfumes and the finesse of the wine. This care has produced an intense straw yellow coloured wine with green tinges showing intensely fruity aromas that are both delicate and sophisticated. Soft, well balanced, pleasantly fruity with an enjoyable finish this is a wine to savour. (12 x 75 cl)

San Valentino is a small winery and was purchased by its current owner, Robert Mascarin in 1990, with its first commercial vintage in 1997. In 2000 Fabrizio Moltard was hired as a wine consultant and the results are evident and this wine had been awarded the prestigious Tre Bicchieri or Three Glass award in the 2004 Gambera Rosso, the Italian wine bible. Hugely intense nose with big, ripe fruits and chocolaty oak with massive, opulent, black cherry fruit, toasty oak flavours. In the mouth, the massive structure with its complicated tannic structure is complimented by the dominating fruit. With a fantastic palate and great persistence this is a wine to be enjoyed. Complex, developed, nutty aromas with floral and spicy overtones. Full-bodied, rich palate with great length. Antonio Pulcini is well known in the U.K. as Frascati’s leading winemaker. His insistence on buying only the best grapes and a dedication to the rare Malvasia del Lazio variety mean that his wines have a degree of personality rare in Frascati (6 x 75 cl)
