Domaine Courbis dates from the 16th Century and has been handed down from father to son since the start of the 20th Century. Today, Brothers Laurent and Dominique Courbis own 20 hectares of vines in Saint-Joseph. Wines from the northern part of St Joseph are more structured and riper than those from the sandier soils of the south. Producing powerful wines with a world wide reputation, Domaine Courbis is estimated to be one of the best producers in the area and this is a lovely example of a full-flavoured Cornas.
