Description:
There are 35 villages permitted this higher appellation, an extra half degree of alcohol and lower yields - resulting in better concentration. Quite full-bodied, cherry-flavoured and with zingily fresh acidity; quaffable, but with some good structure and backbone.
The Gamay grapes used are harvested by hand and vinified in the traditional way. This has produced a deep red coloured wine showing red fruit flavours of currant, raspberry and blackcurrant while its fruity simplicity is to be savoured. Available in 37.5cl Half Bottles. (24 x 37.5 cl)
From a wine-grower of immense talent, this wine has virtually the character of a Beaujolais Cru. Cherry-coloured wine with a fruity aroma of blackcurrants and strawberries. Smooth and well-balanced. Best served chilled. (6 x 75 cl)
