Description:
In 1896 Eugenio Collavini, the founder, first supplied to the best Udinese's families his wines without ever imagining that a century later they would reach the world over.
The Ribolla grape is a variety that's definitely a native of Friuli, in whose dialect it's known as Ribuele. It's grown almost exclusively on the hill faces running from Cividale through the Collio to Gorizia. Additionally, there are mentions of the cultivation of this variety going back to 1300.
This is a straw coloured wine with greenish reflections, while it is distinctive, dry, lemony, with medium strength. The pleasant, soft nose complements the soft, floreal aromas from forest plants such as acacia, oak and birch, and clear lemony notes. Soft, delicate, dry flavour with a thin hint of acid this is a wine to savour.
