Description:
Bricco del lupo (wolf's jug) is the charming name of a wine that has the power and elegance of the wolf. This wine is made from Barbera grapes and with minor addition of Pinot Nero. It gets its fresh, tart strength from Barbera, its ripe fruit bouquet from Nebbiolo and its mild tannin content from the French wooden barrique where it ages for more than 15 months. The result is a balanced, complex wine that has become renowned for its wide range of intense, persistent aromas and its world class flavour.
The deep ruby red colour is almost opaque, and the bouquet emerges a little at a time, with refinement and elegance, to revela hints of cooked prunes, raspberry preserves, and currant and white chocolate syrup to reach a finale in which scents of various spices complete the fragrance. To the taste, it expresses bold, lengthy suggestions of black currant and ripe black cherry, while the body is soft, round, full, excity and thick, with a finale that is velvety and persistent.
