Description:
This Semillon Sauvignon Blanc is a pale straw with a slight green tinge. The bouquet is a fruit salad, offering guava, passionfruit and gooseberry characters with hints of lemongrass in the background. The wine is medium-bodied, the palate is clean and fresh with spicy, tropical fruits and zingy, citrus flavours
The bouquet has a very subtle white peach and light melon fruit character, overlaid by sweet spice and nutmeg. These flavours carry on the palate and supported by fine oak tannins and a creamy acid finish. (6 x 75 cl)
This wine exhibits a number of tastes: a sweet fruity, smoky and minty flavour. The wine has a good finish to it and seamless tannin integration. (12 x 75 cl)
The full bodied palate is packed with juicy blackcurrants, ripe briary fruits and chocolate characters. This is a generous wine with ripe, approachable tannins, and a warm, lingering finish. (6 x 75 cl)
Colour: Vibrant purple and brick red hues. Bouquet: The Shiraz fruit gives this wine fresh pepper and spice aromas. Light oak maturation adds complexity with vanillin characteristics. Palate: A complex of pepper, chocolate and fresh oak vanilla. These flavours combine with an elegant soft tanin finish and a pleasing subtle oak aftertaste (6 x 75 cl)
Colour: Mid straw with attractive green tints. Bouquet: Fresh citrus and tropical fruit dominate the bouquet, with subtle traces of oak fermentation which add complexity. Palate: The palate displays lemon and ripe peach flavours, which are complemented by hints of tropical fruit. Balanced acidity and soft oak fermentation flavours balance the fruit and provide this wine with a good palate weight. (6 x 75 cl)
Description A refreshing, clean classical Margaret river stye, with crisp zesty citrus and plenty of complex rich fruit. Well balanced and persistent on the finish. This wine is great on its own for aperitif or with light dishes such as seafood and salads. Winemaking Method: Each variety is fermented separately. The grapes are whole bunch pressed. Then the must is racked and the temperature is brought to 16ÂșC for a slow, stainless steel tank fermentation to retain maximum flavours. After: The wines are left to settle and cold stabilised and then blended together prior to being earth filtered and bottled. Varieties: 77% Semillon, 23% Sauvignon Blanc (12 x 75 cl)
Star bright, pale straw with green flashes. The bouquet has pronounced tropical notes with characteristic thistle like herbaceousness. The wine has a soft delicate palate that is well balanced and weighted. A small portion of barrel fermented Semillon has added a creamy complexity, although the oak component is not overt. Superb with Greek salad, swordfish, whitebait, scallops and chicken stir fries.
This classic Dry White reflects the cool vintage showing grassy, lime juice, pineapple and guava aromas. The palate is fresh and lively with gooseberry and lime flavours and finishes with a minerally acidity that is refreshing. This wine is essentially ''unoaked'' however since the 2000 vintage a portion of Semillon has been fermented with French oak to further increase complexity and flavour. The wine is intensely fruity, bursting with vibrant and bright aromas and flavours making it a wine that suits the Mediterranean climate and food culture found in Australia. The term Classic Dry White was first coined in Margaret River at Vasse Felix in 1987, representing a blend of Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc. A small portion of Chardonnay is added to this blend to increase the mouthfeel and complexity. (6 x 75 cl)
Michael Wright, took over the property in 1991 and through great care in the vineyard and winery he has produced full flavoured well balanced wines. Voyager Estate is located in the premium wine producing region of Margaret River, Western Australia and the oldest vines date back to 1978, just over 10 years after vines were first planted in the area. This Pale straw with a tinge of green coloured wine has a nose showing fresh and lifted style from the the Sauvignon Blanc there is also guava, passionfruit and lemon thyme. Finally the nose has a slight herbal note is a character common to semillon. Fresh and lively, with good weight and structure on the palate the fresh gooseberry and passionfruit from the Sauvignon Blanc and a touch of grassiness from the Semillon deliver a persistent flavour with refreshing acidity. (12 x 75 cl)
