The now legendary 1976 Paris Tasting at which the 1973 Stag’s Leap Cabernet Sauvignon triumphed over the cream of Bordeaux, propelled the estate into the pre-eminent position it still retains today. Arcadias vivid perfume, elegant balance, and bright acidity are all evident in this great Chardonnay. The characteristic bouquet of jasmine tea is accented with a hint of candied lemon zest, while in the mouth there’s bright apple and citrus flavours, a slightly creamy texture, and a signature flinty note. Smooth yet crisp, the wine offers great purity of flavour all the way through the lingering finish, which is accented with hints of vanilla and biscuit.
