The nose is showing blackcurrant, ripe fruit with a hint of roasted coffee beans, while it is delicate, fine, elegant and long on the palate. The name COMME comes originally from the word 'Combe' , which explains that this premier Cru de Santenay is planted on a steep slope and benefits from a very warm microclimate. (6 x 75 cl)
The name COMME comes originally from the word 'Combe' , which explains that this premier Cru de Santenay is planted on a steep slope and benefits from a very warm microclimate. The result is a deep red wine showing crushed red fruits, generous body with lingering tannins, long soft finish. Roger Belland has 23 hectares in total from which he produces intense red and white wines. This intensity derives from Belland's passion in the vineyard. He grows grass between vines to encourage the vine roots to dig deeper, he hand harvests and leaf plucks and does a careful selection in vineyard prior to harvest. He picks late to ensure better ripeness and all this results in wines of great power and concentration, something that Belland is keen to retain in the wines. (6 x 75 cl)
