When selecting the fruit Barossa Valley Estate look at all their vineyards and pick the best blocks from a variety of soil types to ensure complexity of fruit flavours. The Maturation process occurred in 50% new and 50% 1 to 2 year old American oak for 18 months. This Shiraz has a deep red colour with dark purple hues. The bouquet is showing lifted plum fruit with savoury smoked ham characters from oak maturation. The palate is sweet, with luscious fruit on the front, as well as dark plum and blackberry with subtle charry oak complexity on the back palate. A well balanced wine showing good harmony between fruit and oak. This wine can be cellared up to 10 years.
