A blend of 85% Merlot and 15% Shiraz this wine, in part, has spent time ageing in oak to produce a plum-red colour. All harvesting was done by hand and extreme care was taken not to damage the grapes with only healthy, fully ripened grapes picked. From the vineyard to the winery great care has been taken in making this wine wher it finally spends 6-8 months in French Oak before release. Red berry colour with hints of red bricks, this Shiraz has a white pepper, spice and black berry nose as well as hints of herbaceous basil characters. The palate follows through from the nose with meaty characters and hints of blue cheese while it is a well balanced and integrated juicy wine that delivers on fruityness. (6 x 75 cl)

Lourensford ESTATE Viognier Helderburg Stellenbosch RSA
This Viognier is produced from South East facing parcels on Lourensford Estate in the Helderberg Ward, in the Stellenbosch Region. Once in the winery there is limited lees contact and part of the wine is aged in Oak for 6 months. The golden yellow colour shimmers green reflections, while Cape gooseberry, apricot and light vanilla tones appear on the nose. The palate is full bodied, well balanced with a rich follow-through. Lourensford '1700' Stellenbosch RSA
Brick red hues define the colour while the nose exhibits tobacco and cocoa with hints of peach. The palate continues with a peach pip theme which fattens out into well integrated tannins and extract. Great care from the vineyard to the winery is taken in the production of this wine from the manual sorting of clusters to the gentle crushing followed by transport of the mash to the fermenter. Stellenzicht GOLDEN TRIANGLE Chardonnay Stellenbosch RSA
Known initially as Rustenberg and later Alphen, this vineyard at one time belonged to the Baimsfather-Cloete family who produced the famous Constantia wines. In 1981 the estate was acquired by Hans-Joachim Schreiber who renamed it Stellenzicht or in its literal translation 'View of Stellen' . At ages of between nine and twelve years old, the vineyards from which the fruit were selected in crafting this wine are grown in decomposed granite at altitudes ranging between 180 (12 x 75 cl)
