Description:
Characterised by its great structure, sweetness and its aromas of spices, ripe plums, coffee, cherries and violets. After 18 months in fine oak and 14 months in bottle it acquires aromas of vanilla. Velvety on the palate. Since vines were first cultivated in Vistalba, viticulturists have cultivated a grape called Malbec Verdot. In Finca Los Nobles we have determined that in those days vineyards were a mix of Malbec and, (to a lesser degree), Petit Verdot, plus some which possessed the characteristics of both. We have continued to respect these vineyards which express the true character of the region. The wine: Manual selection of grapes, then destemming. Controlled fermentation at 26º - 28º C in stainless steel with selected yeasts, to preserve the aroma. Pumping over the first few days in a protected atmosphere. Racking, decanting for 48 hours and then 18 months in new French casks to finish off the malolactic fermentation.
