Branaire-Ducru's vineyards are planted with Cabernet Sauvignon 70%, Merlot 22%, Cabernet Franc 5%, Petit Verdot 3%. The wine blend has even more Cabernet Sauvignon, up to 85%, is incorporated reflecting one of the highest Sauvignon blends in the Medoc. The wines are matured in oak barriques 35% new each vintage. This is a deep red/purple-colored stylish sexy concotion of raspberries, graphite, smpke, minerals and flowers. The complex aromatics are followed by a medium to full-bodied, seamless St.Julien displaying velvety tannin, medium body and sweet concentrated fruit in a well-constructed elegant style.
