The Rothbury Estate, a working winery since 1968, is situated within Australia's oldest wine-growing region, the famous Hunter Valley. It has long been known for its diversity of wines and for recognising the potential for winemaking in the Hunter, as well as the surrounding areas of Mudgee, Cowra and Orange. Fruit was sourced from the company’s own vineyards and selected growers in premium vineyard districts in South Eastern Australia. Once in the winery the wine is fermented in stainless steel with subtle oak influence. The Rothbury Estate Blue Label Merlot is bright berry red in the glass. Rich blackberry aromas combine with black cherry and vanilla flavours on the palate. This fresh fruit driven wine is given structure by soft tannins on the palate. (12 x 75 cl)
