Description:
Chateau Troplong-Mondot fashions one of the best wines on the Right Bank and you must credit the conviction of Christine Valette who has overseen a complete renaissance in her wines. They can be quite tannic in their youth, but Troplong always seems to balance that with precocious, rich young fruits (the hallmark of Monsieur Rolland) and a sublime balance that elevates the wines above the crowd. the harvest is picked entirely by hand and fermented in temperature-controlled stainless-steel vats and thereafter undergo malolactic fermentation in oak barrel of which 70% are new oak and 30% are one-year old. Here they mature for 12 to 24 months depending upon the vintage, fined with egg-whites and finally bottled, available in its own original wooden case.

In its own original wooden case this wine has an inky black core with layers of black fruit aromas. Medium-bodied with good concentration. A complex and elegant wine. (12 x 75 cl)
