This wine is typically bright, fresh and fruit-driven. Ruby-red in colour with purple hints, there are floral notes and red berry fruits on the nose. The palate is full-bodied with a smooth texture and soft, ripe tannins. Blue-berries, raspberries and lavender define the palate with an attractive freshness on the finish. Dominique Morel has 12 hectares of vineyard in Beaujolais and the average age of his vines is 70 years, something that accounts for the intensity of his wines with an average yield of 55 hl/ha. This Fleurie vineyard has poor, stony and granite soils; it faces south-west and covers 2.5 hectares. Dominique's philosophy is as follows: I make wines that I like to drink, with lots of fruit, good colour and a rounded mouth-feel. Available in 37.5 cl Half Bottles. (24 x 37.5 cl)

The Cave des Producteurs in Fleurie has always been keen to adapt itself to technological evolutions and maintain its undisputed reputation for quality. The vineyard stretches over more than 400 hectars and comprises of different parcels of lands from its member wine growers. 70 % of the parcels are Fleurie 'Appellation controlee' and the Cave represents more than a third of all Fleurie A. C. The remaining part of the vineyard is located on the periphery of 'cru' Fleurie and is essentially made of Beaujolais-Villages and Beaujolais. This wine has a vivid and intensive red robe with aromas of raspberry and strawberry. (6 x 75 cl)
